About me

Concha Pascual (Zamora, 1953) is a nurse and photographer. She trained in photography at the School of Arts and Crafts of Vitoria-Gasteiz, the city where she currently resides. She has participated in several group exhibitions and is preparing her second individual exhibition.

In 2021 she wins first prize in the “People and places that care” contest, organized by the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council. This recognition was followed in 2022 by a fifth prize in the “20 years of World Press Photo in Vitoria-Gasteiz” competition.

That same year she unveiled two projects at the Montehermoso Cultural Center (an event organized by the School of Arts and Crafts of Vitoria-Gasteiz): «Other landscapes» and
«Like time capsules.»

In 2023 she collaborates with a workshop on «Photography without a camera: Chemigrams» at the EAO. At the Arabaclick 2023 festival she gets a scholarship from Jardín Remoto.

Concha Pascual uses techniques such as blurring, multiple exposure, collage, and experimental analog cameraless photography to create visual narratives that tell stories and evoke emotions.
